Fuel Distributors of Western Australia have welcomed a new addition to their large fleet with an ATE Pocket Road Train including a 6-axle dog trailer. Specifically built for WA conditions and sites along the WA coast, the Road Train proudly continues ATE’s expertise as the only certified Australian Made tankers built for Australian conditions.
A collaborative effort with Simpsons Fuel - their latest solution includes a bespoke design with the newly released PreciPure Gen 2 for delivery to service stations and farms for flexibility while including steer axles for tight access manoeuvrability.
Presented with a challenge from Apco Service Stations to transport large capacity loads into tight areas across their network of service stations , ATE delivered with our 23m B-Double with rear steerable axles for manoeuvrability and meeting all their access requirements.
This is not your usual tanker. Built for industrial applications with integrated steer axle for maneuverability, ATE’s 24m3 stainless steel tipping vacuum tanker has raised the bar for vacuum engineering.
Incorporating 3050m3/h achievable blower capacity, 90% achievable vacuum level, automatic door sequence operation while operated from a self-contained ‘Donkey’ engine, a new standard has been set.
Apco’s requirement of extending haulage, capacity and manoeuvrability were addressed with the design & construction of ATE’s 23 metre B-Double.
Scott Curtis (Apco) advised, “We were very impressed with how the trailers track with the rear steerable axles - we’ve had no problem accessing any site.”
He further commented, “We were updated throughout the entire build process and ATE’s finish and quality is excellent.”
Apco is a locally owned independent fuel chain operation located throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, and have extended their network of stations into New South Wales.
Refuel Australia’s daily operations are located across some of our remotest regions and roughest conditions - delivering fuel to towns and mines in WA.

ATE Tankers expertise runs further than traditional tankers. Designed by our specialist engineers and built in-house, the ATE 24,000L Vacuum Tanker is specifically built for liquid collection on an industrial scale such as large construction projects or flooded sites for quick and efficient clean up, transportation and disposal.
